Our MissionSHDA is an independent Switzerland-based humanitarian and development organization committed tosupporting responsible and sustainable progress in Somalia and Somaliland. Rootedin local understanding and international perspective, we work in coordinationwith communities, diaspora networks, public institutions, and humanitarian stakeholders, including engagement with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairsand Development of Somaliland. Our mission is to strengthen self-reliance, dignity, stability, andlong-term opportunity through community-informed action, institutionalcooperation, and responsible development.

Development Priorities
Reliable electricity, clean water, healthcare, education, food, and essential infrastructure are the foundation of every stable society and remain at the center of our long-term vision.
Other urgent realities are: Unmarried women without partners or stable income are often forced to choose between caring for their children or trying to survive through work — while doing both is nearly impossible.
Elderly people without retirement senior care homes, social support, or financial assistance face extreme hardship at an advanced age. Orphaned children grow up without parents, stability, or protection.
